NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE

FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

 

The Town of Sprague proposes to file an Application for Federal Assistance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  This application for financial assistance will be for funding under FY 17 Brownfields Cleanup Grants, for the Baltic Mill Site, Building #10, in the amount of $200,000.00  and is anticipated to be submitted by December 22, 2016. The specific elements of the project are to commence with selected removal and remediation of contaminated soil in the area of Building #10, as a first step in a complete cleanup of the contaminated site. The draft application packet is located at the Town Hall, Office of the Grant Writer for viewing during regular business hours of the Town Hall, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. A Public Hearing will be held on the second floor, (Old Court Room) on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 4:00 P.M.  Person(s) unable to attend the Public Hearing may submit written or verbal comments regarding this application to the Town of Sprague, Office of the Grant Writer, within fifteen days of this publication.
