Zoning Regulations

Sub Division Regulations

Important Message from the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The State of Connecticut recently passed Public Act 06-80.  This act requires that planning and zoning commissions establish a public notice registry on which land owners, electors, and non-profit organizations may place their name if they wish to receive advance notice of public hearings initiated by a planning or zoning commission for the purpose of changing zoning regulations, boundary or subdivision regulations, or changes to the Plan of Conservation and Development.  This notice is in addition to, and not in lieu of, the public notices published in the local daily newspapers and posted in the Office of the Town Clerk pursuant to the Connecticut General Statutes.

In order to satisfy the requirements of notifying the residents of Sprague of this public act, the Sprague Planning and Zoning Commission has posted the notice of this Public Act here, on the town’s website.  If you wish to be notified, you must complete a form available at the Town Hall that requests you provide your name and address or that of your organization, and your e-mail address if you should have one. You must identify if you are any or all of the following: an owner of real property in Sprague, an elector of the Town of Sprague, or a non-profit organization.  You should request to be notified by either regular mail or by e-mail, but not both.  Alternatively, if you wish you may simply write a letter that includes all of the above information, and mail it to: Town of Sprague, Planning and Zoning Office, Sprague Town Hall, 1 Main Street, Baltic, Connecticut 06330.

Upon completing and signing the form, you will receive notices for a period of three (3) years.  Please note that if you wish to continue to receive notices after that time has elapsed, you are required to submit another request so as to continue receiving notices.
