Municipal Permit and License Information

The Town Clerk's office provides the following services you may require:

To become a voter (at any time throughout the year), if you are a citizen, and at least 18 years of age.

To obtain a Marriage License:  Parental permission required if under 18 years of age.

To Purchase a Sportsman's License:
All licenses expire December 31st. Competence certificates are required for Firearms Hunting and Archery licenses. Archery licenses are issued by State D.E.P.- applications available in Town Clerk's office. Junior licenses must be purchased for hunters and trappers age 12-16. Free lifetime licenses if age 65 or over.

To license your Dog:
Licenses required for all dogs six months of age or over.
Rabies inoculation certificate is required.
State-imposed $60.00 penalty for unlicensed dogs.
License fees: $8.00 spayed/neutered dogs- $19.00 male or female dogs

To Record your Discharge for Veteran's Exemptions:
Form DD-214 must be recorded in town of residence, before October 1st, one time only.

To Record or Research Land Transactions:
All deeds, releases, Probate Court Certificates, trade names and surveys.

To Apply for Notary Public Certification:
Applications available in Town Clerk's Office, submitted to Secretary of State. Certificate filed with Town Clerk.
