Welcome to the Sprague Economic Development Commission (SEDC) Meeting Agendas Meeting Minutes Strategic Plan for the Economic Re-Development of Sprague (2004-2014) Sprague Business Directory Our Mission The mission of the Economic Development Commission is to provide services to enhance the town's economy and to expand opportunities for individual, business and community prosperity. The Commission will strive to promote equity, and improve the quality of life for Sprague citizens. Sprague is a member of the Southeastern Regional Council of Governments (SCCOG), the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region (SeCTer), 1000 Friends, the Southeastern Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority (SCRRA), and coordinates with CERC and the Rural Development Council (RDC) on a regular basis. In the News Strategic Plan 2009-2014: The Town is in the process of revising its Strategic Plan to build upon accomplishments achieved as outlined in the 2004-2014 Plan and address the last five years of the plan with these accomplishments in mind, that have further refined the direction in which the Town has decided to head. The Council was organized in October of 1992, taking over the mission of the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Planning Agency (SCRPA), which had been existence since January 1961. www.sccog.org The Connecticut Economic Resource Center is a nonprofit company funded primarily by utility companies with a mission of promoting Connecticut as a competitive business location. It specializes in economic development, research and marketing for local, regional, state and utility economic development entities.
